It’s been an insanely challenging personal week

It’s been an insanely challenging personal week over here.
We tend to just take things for granted until life smacks you in the face and makes you slow down.
We give our babies everything we have and find there is nothing left to spare at the end of the day.

While we take happy photos dancing in the grassy foothills, I hope you can always look back and remember the calmness in between the storm that is children giving us mild heart attacks.

Busy season is on the brink of beginning and I’m

Busy season is on the brink of beginning and I’m a whole mix of emotions, excited and trying to take it one day at a time.
If you need me for the next few months I’ll be in a field, or by a river, a canal or the foothills or swarming off the non existent mosquitoes in Colorado.
Just bring me snacks and we will make it through.
But dairy free, gluten free snacks because I like to live on the edge. 😆

As she sits in her mamas arms days before she turn

As she sits in her mamas arms days before she turns one, she listens to her dad play guitar and sing, she feels the machines pumping in and out and helping her breathe and she continuously turns to watch the doors open and close as her nurses check in.
For one year Thea has been a warrior inside and out.

Sometimes your village of help expands far beyond what you ever imagined, but you will always find them.

Big brothers and little sisters have a special place in my heart and while they have their moments of craziness, they start to expand from seconds to minutes of pure love.
